Useful to biology majors and non-majors, Campbell Biology: Concepts & Connections (7th Edition) offers on-point and relevant text combined with inventive tools to help improve the teaching and learning experience. Now offering practical real life cases ad comparisons, this bestseller is has undergone the most extensive revision yet to become more approachable and conversational. Many students use it hand in hand with MasteringBiology, also written by the same pool of authors (Reece, Taylor, Simon, and Dickey). The book is divided into 7 sections, the first of which discusses cell life, from the chemical basics to how cells work to harvest energy and make food (photosynthesis). It then talks about cellular reproduction and the wonders of genetics, followed by chapters on evolution. The fourth section discusses biological diversity, while units 5 and 6 talk about the forms and functions of animals and plants. The last section talks about ecology, biosphere, and conservation biology. Campbell Biology: Concepts & Connections (7th Edition) ISBN 9780321696816 is 928 pages of useful information about some of the most important fundamentals in biology. The book is the brainchild of several talented authors, including Jane Reece, an expert in bacteriology as well as a seasoned biology professor at reputable colleges in both New Jersey and New York. She worked as an editor at Benjamin Cummings and has contributed to the success of many different textbooks, especially Campbell Biology. Also in the team is Martha Taylor, who has 35 years of teaching credentials under her belt in addition to her PhD in science education. She has authored the study guides for 9 editions of Campbell Biology. Eric Simon has a PhD in biochemistry from Harvard. He teaches biology and higher level courses in microbiology, genetics, molecular biology, and tropical marine biology. Jean Dickey earned a PhD in ecology and evolution after finishing her degree in biology. She authored different books in biology and co-authored different editions of Campbell Biology.
